Lynne
Shapiro-Goldman, creator and designer of Crystal Candy Jewelry has
been setting the trends as long as she can remember. Her love and
passion for fashion and design has enabled her to envision the woman
and her fashion needs. Being original in all that she creates has
been symbolic of her nature.
Before vintage
clothing was a fashion statement, Lynne was fascinated with it.
She frequented antique clothing stores and later fulfilled her desire
to sell to others who shared that common interest. She soon had
a desire to channel that creativity into
haircutting, and continued that talent for over twenty years. Still
wanting to diversify her fashion needs, she felt herself drawn into
the retail world of costume jewelry, then assuming the title of
Trend Jewelry Specialist at Bloomingdale's. This is where her Crystal
Candy Jewelry world began.
For the past
few years, bracelets were growing in popularity, and to Lynne's
delight, it started to be a love of most women. She always, as long
as she could remember, adorned herself with bracelets. One wasn't
enough, the more the better. As crystals grew in fashion, so did
Lynne's need to design her own, for herself. Upon wearing her newly
created designs to her Trend Jewelry Specialist job at Bloomingdale's,
she was overwhemed with the tremendous response to the bracelets,
creating a buzz that was immeasurable. All day long people marveled
and were dazzled by the originality and beauty of her Swarovski
crystal and vintage bead designs. It was endless how many people
wanted to own these bracelets.
As a result,
Crystal Candy Jewelry was born. Two months after Lynne's first bracelet
was designed, she attended the famous "Open See" at Henri
Bendel in New York with the opportunity to show her designs. The
buyers loved them and an order was written. Her first store! She
continued to do weekly trunk shows for many years. The public's
response to her crystal and vintage bead designs were creating a
book of adjectives to describe them (fun, charming, adorable, gorgeous,
flirty, zesty, juicy) to name a few.
As Lynne's Crystal
Candy Jewelry world grows, so does the joy that these bracelets
bring to those who own them.
Lynne entertains
a certain philosophy that seems to say it all. She believes that
if you can't be dripping in diamonds, be dripping in crystal (or
both)!
